"A Wales Night"

On heights of Wales we’ve been scattered While longing heartily for ourselves And rainy clouds didn’t matter They couldn’t give us any help We’re shining brightly since we’ve never Have listened to the world around The Sun became our orange lever To jump through days with no sound The wind keeps blowing to the valley Where stars have found a perfect glaze His tender strength makes noise too rarely We shouldn’t be scared or amazed By silver leaves, he softly whispers An old song, forgotten now About a king, a knight, and princess Then disappears without a bow We slow down in the shadow Of the greatest oak we have seen We catch a firefly – to let go To the secret land we haven’t been The night embraces us so gently There is no reason to resist And silence shows us the entry To a bed with blanket made of mist
